In the heart of Madeira's north coast, in a calm and unspoiled environment, our guest house welcomes you amidst a laurel forest classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

From our property, located halfway up the Boaventura mountain, you will enjoy exceptional views of the sea and mountains, while being just minutes away from the most beautiful levadas and the main hiking trails on the island.

Our house is not a hotel.

We have chosen to preserve the spirit of a true guesthouse in a private home., where we intentionally welcome a limited number of visitors in order to prioritize calm, friendliness and a personalized welcome.

The rooms

We offer two comfortable rooms, each with a separate entrance.

Each room includes:

• double bed 160 × 200 cm;
• private bathroom (shower and WC);
• flat screen television;
• Free Wi-Fi (fibre optics);
• courtesy tray;
• bathrobes;
• hair dryer ;
• soap, shampoo and bath towels.

Breakfast

Breakfast is included in your stay, but can only be eaten on site.

We offer a sweet and savory breakfast, served at the table between 8:30 and 10:30 am .

For very early departures or sunrise hikes, a packed breakfast can be prepared only upon reservation at least 24 hours in advance.

This service is offered free of charge once per stay . Any subsequent requests for takeaway breakfast during the same stay will be subject to a fee. Please contact us for pricing.

And, if you wish, Nelson will gladly prepare his scrambled eggs.

If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, please let us know before your arrival.

Common areas

Our visitors have access to:

• a fully equipped covered barbecue;
• of a dining area;
• of a shared refrigerator;
• of a 400 m² enclosed garden with several relaxation areas;
• of a 17,000 litre above ground swimming pool, heated solely by solar energy, open from the beginning of May to the end of October.

Free parking (4 vehicles) is located approximately two minutes' walk away.

Arrival from 2:00 PM .

Departure before 11:00 am .

Each room is thoroughly cleaned, disinfected and prepared after each departure to guarantee an impeccable level of hygiene.

Hiking is a true passion.

Over the years, Nelson has become an excellent connoisseur of the levadas, hiking trails and the most beautiful landscapes of Madeira.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced hiker, he will gladly share his favorite routes, practical advice and many great places rarely found in tourist guides.

Some important rules of our house

Our home is our living space and we welcome our visitors into an environment that we wish to keep clean, calm and pleasant for everyone.

In order to comply with hygiene and safety regulations, the following conditions are mandatory :

• Animals are not allowed on the property.
• Food, drinks, and food packaging are strictly prohibited in the rooms. No food scraps, waste, or containers may be kept in the rooms. A refrigerator is available in the barbecue area for your use.
• Surfing equipment, diving equipment, or any other sports equipment are prohibited in the rooms. An outdoor area is provided for storing this type of equipment.
• Takeaway breakfasts are available only by reservation at least 24 hours in advance for early morning departures or sunrise hikes. This service is offered only once per stay. Any additional requests during the same stay will be charged according to the applicable rate.

These rules are not intended to limit your comfort, but to guarantee the quality, hygiene and tranquility of all our visitors.

Practical information

A tourist tax of €2 per person per night (maximum 7 nights), imposed by our municipality, is collected upon your arrival.

Payment is accepted in cash only.

In accordance with Portuguese regulations, each visitor must complete a registration form for the competent authorities.

The booking calendar is limited to two people per room. If you are travelling with a child and wish to exceed this capacity, please contact us before making your reservation.

To limit bank charges, we prefer payment by bank transfer.

You can also pay for your stay via Stripe using Visa and Mastercard.

Laundry

For safety reasons, we take care of washing your laundry ourselves.

• Washing: €5 (maximum 5 kg)
• Tumble dryer: €5 (maximum 5 kg)

Car rental

We have been collaborating for several years with our partner VB , whose services are highly appreciated by our visitors.

However, we cannot be held responsible for any disputes that may arise between the lessor and the lessee.
